Soundtrack Saturday (36)

Soundtrack Saturday is a weekly feature that I started to share playlists with my readers. As I'm reading books, I usually think of songs that go along with the plot and characters. Because of this (and a few assignment ideas), Soundtrack Saturday was born!

I'm inviting all book bloggers to participate in this meme! Each week, I'll be posting a linky at the bottom of my post so that you can share your Soundtrack Saturday playlist for other bloggers and blog readers to find.

As with all bookish memes, there are a few easy steps to follow to help you create your own perfect Soundtrack Saturday post:
  • Choose a book that you've read or are currently reading - any book is fine!
  • Create a mini (four songs) or full soundtrack (ten-fifteen + songs) for that book based on characters and plot details
  • For more detailed instructions, please visit the meme's homepage.
  • Please credit me somewhere in your post. It can be as simple as "Soundtrack Saturday is a weekly meme that was created by Erin at The Hardcover Lover."
  • Leave a comment on my blog post if you enjoy the feature
  • Add your name to the link-up tool at the bottom of the post

The Love That Split the World by Emily Henry

This week's Soundtrack Saturday is a playlist that I've come up with for Emily Henry's debut novel, The Love That Split the World. It comes out next Tuesday, and trust me, you need to read this wonderful and stunning book. Because of the rural setting in The Love That Split the World, I've included a lot of country music, but I've also included some pop that I think fits the plot.

1. "Falling" by The Civil Wars
2. "You Learn" by Alanis Morissette
3. "Edge of a Thunderstorm" by Cassadee Pope
4. "Turn My World Around" by Gloriana
5. "Hello" by Adele
6. "When You Say Nothing At All" by Alison Krauss
7. "Blowin' Smoke" by Kacey Musgraves
8. "10,000 Miles" by Mary Chapin Carpenter
9. "Fight Song" by Rachel Platten
10. "Glass" by Thompson Square
11. "Gold" by Wake Owl
12. "Mine" by Taylor Swift
13. "If You Ever Did Believe in Magic" by Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow
